Class in Session

The ACE Project is committed to improving the health and well-being of youth, families, and communities through COVID-19 by moving equitable resources to underserved areas. Our team adapted to address a growing need, launching digital services and connecting vulnerable families to resources that stabilize. As stay-in-place orders lifted, we successfully piloted in-person youth programs while many extracurricular activities remained suspended. Now, ACE is focused on bridging gaps in positive youth development caused by remote learning so students can excel.

Class in Session is the third phase of our Resilience Plan; this includes:

  1. Partnering with local organizations, such as schools, park districts, and day care centers, to adapt ACE programs with COVID protocols, ensuring that youth are safe to play, learn, and grow in shared spaces.

  2. Relaunching in-person programs in Chicago, Baltimore, and Detroit by: a) training coaches on updated procedures; b) piloting tennis camps in small groups; c) expanding enrichment activities to benefit the overall well-being of youth.

  3. Providing the ACE Team with advanced training opportunities related to youth, sport, and trauma.

In addition, The ACE Project is updating this page with resources from partner organizations to help you and your family during this uncertain time. Please stay healthy and hopeful!
