Tournaments
This summer, The ACE Project will host tournaments in Baltimore and Riverdale, giving students an opportunity to team up with peers from their school and test their tennis skills and sportsmanship in a fun, affirming environment.
Tennis Camps
Regardless if we are on public courts or creating our own in parking lots, The ACE Project introduces kids living in south suburban Chicago and Baltimore City to tennis through personalized instruction, fun activities, and match play over the course of a week. Last year, over 50 kids participated in one of our tennis camps.
Return the Serve
Presented by Chase, the Return the Serve Fun Day celebrates tennis by inviting over 150 participants onto the Riverdale courts to pick up a racket and test their swing through a variety of activities. This year’s event, scheduled for Friday, July 13th, is set to be our biggest yet as we move Return the Serve to the newly renovated Cooper’s Park courts.
Field Trips
The ACE Project invites youth to attend professional tournaments where they have an opportunity to see the sport’s best athletes showcase tennis fundamentals, mental fortitude, and sportsmanship. This year, our kids will have an opportunity to watch the Washington Kastles and attend the Southern & Western Open in Cincinatti, Ohio.
Court Renovation
Cooper Park in Riverdale was chosen as part of the United States Tennis Association’s Art Courts initiative that supports community tennis programming by refurbishing and repainting courts. Stay updated by following us on Facebook and save the date for the ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday, June 30th.
