ACE Makes a Difference For
YOUTH
Youth who participate in ACE’s model demonstrate increased positive development including better school performance, more pro-social behavior, enhanced life satisfaction, and a reduction in negative outcomes in these same areas, such as less peer rejection, school failure, aggression, or drug use.
FAMILIES
By joining the ACE Team, parents learn how the education system works while strengthening the skills needed to support their children in school. Professional development opportunities are offered on academic instruction, community organizing, and leadership skills.
Communities
ACE partners with schools and park districts by providing free, adaptive programs in-class, after-school, and during summer months. We bridge government agencies, day care centers, police departments, tennis clubs, youth service providers, mental health specialists, and local businesses.
In-Class
ACE-ers benefit from one-on-one and small group support in the classroom, helping them navigate academic lessons, life skills, and conflict resolution.
Over 300 students were served by a classroom mentor during the 2021-22 school year.
After-School
ACE-ers build confidence and competence on the tennis courts after-school, plus they receive academic support and pro-social coaching.
Over 200 students served up fun during the 2021-22 school year.
Community Engagement
By hiring school personnel, parents, and community members as program leaders, we strengthen the local economy and outmatch cycles that limit opportunity.
Over 30 adults served as coaches and mentors during the 2021-22 school year.
